I prefer it to the previous 2 MW's. Its got a more intense story and the gameplay mechanics are much better too! I however, do resent the lack of vehicles. Unlike BF3, you don't get to fly in a jet (which was coolness personified!!). No tank riding, car driving, etc, which is a big big let down. True to the series, its even more "run-and-shoot" and doesn't require too much of planning before barging, stealth, etc, except a mission or two maybe.
Overall, I loved it! Would I pay $60 for it? No! That's why I waited on the retail (half the price).

I would agree, COD games really never come out with much that will knock your socks off as far as innovation. What they do bring is the same solid game play they have been known for. Which is why millions of people buy every new game they make.
It's a matter of taste, if you liked the previous COD games then you will enjoy this one. If you were more of a Battlefield fan than it may not quite be what you are looking for as they are really two different animals. Comparing the two really isn't fair to either game.
not much different then mw2, some different guns and maps, little different looking menus. nothing extra special. some things have been improved, like killstreak selections. its just different enough to give a healthy change from black ops
