First of all, i am wondering if MinME's internet connection sharing is compatible with Win98's. The reason i ask is because i have been trying to set up my roommates to work off my internet connection, and it hasn't been working??

It should be. Did you read the notes? You must have Internet Connection Sharing installed ONLY on the ONE computer you are using for the connection. When you install it, you get a disk with icscslset.exe on it. Put the disk in your freinds computer (after making sure that it does not have Internet Connection Sharing) and set it up. His computer will only see it as a special LAN connection. ICS for SE worked with 98SE, 98, and 95 computers connected to the SE host computer. I can't see MS changing that for ME.

First of all what type of internet connection do you presently have? You mentioned a roomate so are you in a dorm at colledge with a Lan connection? Or are you in a house with a cable connection? If no to those and you are using a 56k modem then yes it will work, however I suggest you try a program like winproxy instead.

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing!

One of the easiest programs to set up is Sygate.

I agree with the last two posts :P. This is off topic and sysgate is really solid for sharing an internet connection regardless of the network system and type of connection.
