More Information

Does anyone here know of a place that scientifically tests the reception of GSM phones? I know much of the reception has to do with the service provider but a lot of it must also be dependent on the phone itself. Where can I find an up to date test of the reception of GSM phones? I am also interested in the technology used by the different manufacturers. Like which kind of chip or booster, or power levels for the receptors. I do not understand it all, but I am ready to learn.

You can guess, I live in a place with so so reception.

Any help?
