Training
Training

Finding computer forensic training is easy, but finding quality training is hard. Local colleges and trade schools are offering training, but is it worth it? It makes sense to do your training at centers that are staffed with law enforcement professionals and have the appropriate equipment for learning.
Guidance trains about 3500 people a year in its EnCase software. About 60 percent are government employees, while the other 40 percent are corporate. All instructors are former or current law enforcement. In fact, most of the upper management comes from a law enforcement background.
At Guidance, each student gets a fully configured computer with a FastBloc device, so all drives can be connected without opening the machine. Each student gets two LCD screens, one is their primary screen while the other shows the instructors screen so a student should have no problems in following along.
