First, a bit of background: For the Americans, the first flight took place in 1903, on December 17, to be precise, when the Wright brothers finally got the Flyer to fly. This was the first airplane constructed scientifically and not empirically. (Author's note: the French word for airplane - avion - was invented by Clement Adler and taken from the Latin avis, meaning bird, after having flown his "Eole" on October 9, 1890 in the grounds of a chateau at Armainvilliers in the Seine et Marne. In 1892, Eole II flew 200 meters over the camp of Satory, watched attentively by military observers, and in 1897 the "Avion" covered 300 meters in the same place...) The first airplane flew about 50 meters that day at an "altitude" of 20 centimeters.
For its 12th version of Flight Sim, Microsoft merely proposes to go back to the Wright brothers, skimming over some of the history of aviation, starting with the Wrights' famous Flyer.
