Multiverse to make Firefly MMORPG
Firefly, the discontinued television series with a cult following, is coming back in video game form. Multiverse, makers of a MMORPG development application, is bring the Fox television series back as a massively multiplayer online game.
Apparently, the game will move away from central characters because there was only one Captain Mal Reynolds of the Firefly ship. Multiverse will contract out to a development team to have the game made and expects a playable beta to appear in 2008.
Firefly, made by Joss Whedon of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame, was cancelled back in 2002 back came back briefly as the Serenity movie.
