Financial officer resigns at Atari

Atari Inc., a leading developer and publisher of video games, Monday said its chief financial officer has resigned, effective immediately. David J. Fremed left Atari, where he had been financial chief since May 2000, to "build a new business from the ground up," according to a press release. New York-based Atari said that as it searches for a successor, Harry Rubin, senior executive vice-president, will oversee the finance group. Atari is a subsidiary of Infogrames Entertainment S.A. of France. Its titles include "Driver," "Enter the Matrix," and "Neverwinter Nights." Atari had revenue of $404.6 million for the year ended March 31, 2003.
