In the level Volcano, both cards show pronounced gains when using SM 3.0. GeForce 6800 Ultra and GT can once again secure a clear lead. This time, even the vanilla GeForce 6800 offers the kind of performance we expected, coming in just behind the X800 Pro in 1280x1024 and even beating it in 1024x768.

As before, the standard GeForce 6800 takes a large performance hit when FSAA and AF are enabled. Using SM 3.0, the GeForce 6800 Ultra can overtake the X800 XT by a hair's length, while the 6800 GT places comfortably ahead of the X800 Pro.
