The best route to recover your system from a fatal attack or OS file corruption is to run a system restore to a point prior to when the calamity took place. In our busy lives it's not possible to follow through creation of system restores especially one where you have to be physically present to click on each followup action. Often times reinstalling your OS may seem like too much work for an individual. With the advent of Windows 10, comes the ability to create a system restore point with a simple double-click. This tutorial will show you how to do so.

With your desktop space in sight, right click on any empty space, moving your cursor down over to "New" and hover over to "Shortcut".

Upon being greeted with the new menu screen, type cmd.exe /k "wmic.exe /Namespace:\\root\default Path SystemRestore Call CreateRestorePoint "My Shortcut Restore Point", 100, 7" in the address bar located in the middle of the window.

Click on "Next".

In the following screen type a desired name for your shortcut. For the sake of this tutorial, we will name it "Simple Restore Point".

Click on "Finish".

The new shortcut will now appear on your desktop space though we need to perform a couple of more tweaks to it.
