Audio Encoding and Video

Lame and OGG show no performance gains for four-core processing, with the dual-core Core 2 Duo E6750 leading the Core 2 Extreme QX6850 at all speeds.

The new DivX codec is obviously optimized for four-core processors, handing a win of greater than 100% to a processor that only has double the cores.

XviD normally encodes faster than DivX when dual-core processors are used, but we see the opposite occur with respect to the four-core Core 2 Extreme QX6850. The Core 2 Duo E6750 wins here.

Can anyone still not see them? They seem to be alright now...
Like many flight sim enthusiasts, I am trying to decide the most cost-effective CPU for FSX SP1. This can use multi-cores we're told but reports suggest not that well.
Could you add FSX SP1 (under Vista) to your benchmarks for CPUs please? I am particularly interested to know whether the E6850 is better than the Q6600 or not!
