Toshiba USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive 160 GB

This is the first time Toshiba enters the retail consumer storage business and it does so with the USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive. We received the 160 GB top model, but there are other capacity options available as well. While Seagate supplies a twin-port USB 2.0 cable, Toshiba decided to put an additional USB power cable in case your USB 2.0 ports might not be capable of providing sufficient energy for the drive. We prefer Seagate's approach, because you don't have to remember to carry the additional power cable with you every time you take the drive with you. This product comes with a three-year warranty. The drive looks a bit like a pocket flask, but it is solidly built and leaves a great impression.
