Online-enabled Excite Truck 2 heading to Wii
Redmond (WA) - The first sequel to a Wii game will come as a new version of the launch title Excite Truck. The second installment to the new racing series is one of the first to announce support for online multiplayer.
Up to six people will be able to compete online in real-time. This puts Excite Truck 2 in the small category of upcoming Wii online titles, currently comprised of Pokemon Battle Revolution, due out this June, this fall’s Mario Strikers Charged, and the pending Super Smash Bros Brawl.
No release date has been confirmed for Excite Truck 2, however Nintendo has said that it won’t be until next year before the Wii’s online multiplayer platform really takes off.
