EVGA Intros Dual-Panel LCD Display

EVGA has interest the display market with its dual-monitor InterView.

EVGA, known for its Intel-based motherboards and Nvidia graphics cards, is entering the display market with its new InterView 1700 dual-panel display. Although geared for professionals such as accountants and analysts, this setup is rather hot, providing two displays mounted side by side on a central frame using rotating joints. These joints enable each monitor to flip vertically 180 degrees, making it ideal in a situation where viewers sit on opposite sides of a table (and setting up the graphics card to project clone displays via the control panel.) The screens can also rotate horizontally as well, folding inwards at 90 degrees to essentially "close" the system. The base frame also bends 180-degrees.

Embedded between both displays is a 1.3 megapixel webcam and a built-in microphone; a three port USB hub as well as a dual-link DVI and HDMI port is embedded into the InterView's base. Both 17-inch displays are capable of 1440 x 900 resolutions, with a 500:1 static ratio and a response time of 8 ms. With the bezel open, the entire package measures 34.27-inches x 15.8-inches x 7.5-inches; the closed bezel measures 15.39-inches x 16.67-inches x 19.39-inches.
