by - source: Tom's Hardware

And you thought that some 17" notebooks cannot be called notebooks anymore. Eurocom today announced a "supernotebook" that integrates an AMD Turion processor and two GeForce 7800 GTX graphics cards with a total GDDR3 memory capacity of 512 MB. All those pixels rendered are displayed on a 19" display that offers a resolution of 1650 x 1050 pixel (WSXGA+) as well as a brightness of 290 nits, which the manufacturer claims, is enough to readability in direct sunlight.

Other components of the notebook, which is named M590K Emperor, include up to 2 GB of DDR400 memory, up to 120 GB hard disk capacity as well as a Turion MT-37 or 40 processor. The notebook will weigh in at about 14.5 pounds and will ship later this month. Prices have not been announced.

The Turion-based M590K Emperor may be as sensible as a Cadillac Escalade SUV with a 300 horsepower hybrid engine and may receive similar reactions from many consumers. But then, we also know that there are enough people who enjoy exactly such products.
