Ethernet for PDAs

You can sync your PDA to your computer, but how about being able to slap it into a port and make it part of the corporate network? Portsmith's new Ethernet Cradle for Palm handheld computers lets you do just that, in a manner similar to stuffing your cell phone into its charger. Just plug a Cat 5 cable into the back of the port and you're in business. Portsmith's Cradle for the Palm III and VII series handhelds is compatible with the IBM c3, Symbol SPT 1500, and the 330 and TRG Pro models from Handera. Features include a 10BaseT interface with LED indicator for activity and status, automatic IP address assignment, and one touch file synchronization. The company also has cradles for Handspring Visor/Visor Deluxe and the Palm m500 Series. The Palm III and VII cradle will sell for $199 retail and will be available this month.
