ESS war against Mediatek is for gaining customers, sources say
ESS Technology's expansion of its copyright infringement lawsuit against Mediatek reportedly may be motivated by a bid to win customers from its Taiwanese competitor in preparation for volume production of DVD player chipsets in April, sources said.
