Application Performance


The WD GreenPower drives provide only 80% of the application performance other 7,200 RPM desktop drives show; the reduced spindle speed is obviously a disadvantage here. However, the P7K500 cannot deliver better file writing performance in PCMark05’s HDD benchmark.

Ah finally, the infamous 2 page bug has been fixed. Bout time too !
Until other manufacturers can give me a 5 year warranty I'm not buying anything but Seagate drives, regardless of performance/power consumption.

That 5400GB drive looks interesting though
