Panasonic - Even More Cameras

Not to be outclassed by Visiontech, Panasonic showed off their own video cameras at EHX. These cameras are also weather and vandal resistant.
The most interesting model was the HCM280, which has an insane 21x optical zoom.

All the Panasonic cameras have embedded processors and webservers. They use Cat 5 Ethernet for both power and connectivity. Audio in and out are provided as well, so you can actually talk to the intruder.

Here is an interesting feature: Most of the newer Pro models have an SD memory slot that will take cards of up to 1 GB in capacity. The camera can write still pictures at user-specified intervals to the SD card.

Early next year, Panasonic will introduce their TV Interface, which will accept up to four cameras and stream them to a regular TV.
