NVIDIA's Other Products
NVIDIA's Other Products
MX is selling. It's the main contributor to NVIDIA's revenue. Anyone for GeForce3? It's a nice chip with tons of features. Who is going to pay the price for it though? Not a lot of people - believe me.
Kyro2
Those bad boys from PowerVR! How do they dare making NVIDIA's life so much harder? Just imagine NVIDIA would not be developing Xbox-stuff! I am sure that Kyro2 would have what it takes to impact NVIDIA's then much lower stock price. However, the stock market doesn't mind. Dot.com stuff sucks and NVIDIA rules ... at least for the time being. Anyway, Kyro2 may not be the greatest technological product of all time, but it is kicking NVIDIA's butt where it at least could hurt.
Last Words
There would be a lot more to say, but I want to get something out of my Fourth of July as well. I also guess you've read enough cynical stuff for the day. If you would like to have my opinion on something, please drop me a line and send it to tom@tomshardware.com . I am happy to cover it in my next editorial. I am sure that I don't have to encourage you if you feel that this editorial really sucked. I can't wait for your emails!
Today is Independence Day and we all should celebrate our freedom, regardless if we are American citizens or not. We are fully aware of the fact that we are not living in a really free world and particularly the PC-world is restricted by the Microsofts and Intels of our time. We should try to stay informed and make use of one of our most important rights. Voice your opinion! Don't just eat the stuff that's been offered to you! Ask questions and demand sensible answers! We are the customers of those big guys! They have to please us if they want to get our money! The fight for independence is far from over. Let's think of the Independence War of 1775/1776 and honor those who fought it by continuing our own little fight for independence in our life ... for the benefit of all.
