ECS and Tatung in strategic alliance
Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) and Tatung have reached a deal in which the motherboard maker will issue new shares in exchange for the Taiwan electronics player’s desktop PC department.
Tatung is expected to become ECS’s biggest shareholder with 30% after spinning off the desktop department in return for 314 million new shares to be issued by the motherboard maker, according an announcement by both companies yesterday.
