Internet auction provider, eBay, has announced that net revenue for its third quarter was $264 million, a whopping 73% increase over the same period one year ago. The sluggish economy has, surprisingly, not impacted eBay, and may have helped its business. According to its President and Chief Executive, Margaret C. Whitman: "eBay remains a compelling place to do business, despite the current climate, or because of it." EBay reportedly had online sales worth $3.77 billion for the quarter that ended on Sept. 30th.
