E3 2003: Getting Into The Game

by

It must be that time of the year as we make our annual pilgrimage to the 2003 Electronics Entertainment Expo. E3 is the midway point in what we in the industry call "Tradeshow Season". As the sounds of music blare from speakers placed in every booth, people migrate from stand to stand checking out the latest and greatest in PC and console gaming. There are so many games on display, that there is simply no time to see or play them all.

E3 is an industry event, and it is closed to the public. It's primary focus to let buyers book orders for the products that will order this holiday season. What is strange is the amount of people who still find creative ways to sneak into E3 for a glimpse of the future titles to be released.

THG is covering E3 in full force with no less than four staff members out here trying to get the latest scoop on all of the action. While many trade shows continue to die, E3 continues to survive, making it the single largest gaming industry event. In our report today we take a look at our look at some of the highlights during our booth crawl at E3. On the weekend, we will bring you a more in-depth report with even greater coverage.

To celebrate our E3 coverage, we also announced yesterday our sponsorship of the Millionman Lan 2 LAN party to be held in Louisville Kentucky on June 26th thru the 29th. With this sponsorship commitment in conjunction with our partners AMD, Asus, and ATI we look to continue our support of the gaming community. We plan to have a lot of surprises in store for MML2, so if you have not thought about registering, now might be a great time to do so. Come to Louisville and help us making MML2 one of the largest premier LAN party events in North America!
