DVD Forum adds digital output to spec

The guidelines for a 1394 interface that would directly link DVD players to digital TVs and digital audio amplifiers are close according to a forum official. Currently, DVD players' output is restricted to analog. After creating a 1394 recommendation for playback-only DVDs, the group will work on recordable DVD.
