Kano

Kano Technologies was another company that was displaying external storage devices. Their pocket-sized Surefire drives come in USB 2.0 or Firewire 800 versions, with capacities from 20 to 80 Gigs. These drives spin at a slower 4200 RPM, but that should be OK for mobile users.

The Kano Technologies HardBox can hold up to 400 GB capacity drives. Units can be daisy-chained for even greater capacity. The HardBox can be bought with or without drives. Just like the Surefire drives, the HardBox comes in USB 2.0 or Firewire 800 interfaces.
The HardBox chassis (without drives) is currently shipping for $149.

If 400 GB is not enough for you, then Kano Technologies has its X-SPAND unit that holds 1.6 TB in a 1U form factor. It has a Firewire 800 interface and uses Raid 0 on the drives.
For the ultimate in storage capacity, you can get the SureVAULT, which gives you an incredible 4.8 TB. The 12 drives are in a Raid 50 configuration. The unit takes up 4U of space and also uses a Firewire interface.
The X-SPAND and the SureVAULT will debut next month. Company officials did not have specific pricing, but said the units will cost around $2 for one GB.
K-Tek

Movie professionals often use microphone boom poles to hang microphones above actors. As you can imagine holding a long pole can get tiring, so every ounce you can save will make a big difference. K-Tek showed us their graphite boom poles which can expand up to 20 feet 11 inches. These could save the day on long video shoots, plus they make great blunt object weapons too.
K-Tek's graphite poles are currently shipping. For those who don't want to pay the premium for graphite, K-Tek also sells aluminum versions.
