Canon Camcorders, Printers And Projectors
The huge Canon booth had almost a dozen of the new XL2 camcorders on display. Representatives answered all questions, while keeping a watchful eye on potential thieves who might be tempted to run off with this $4,999 camera.
The XL2 offers numerous improvements over the XL1s. The included fluorite crystal "L" lens offers 20X optical zoom. A shoulder pad is now included, rather than being an accesory with the Xl1s. The XL2 records in 60i, 30p or 24p. This can easily be changed with a three way switch on the left side of the body.
The back-left panel flips outwards to reveal numerous audio controls.
Two XLR audio inputs are in the back of the XL2, just above the shoulder pad.
