Azden - Professional Audio

Bad audio can ruin an otherwise stellar movie. Azden has been manufacturing professional audio gear for over 40 years. The new 500UDR wireless receiver can run for up to 8 ½ hours on six AA batteries. It can also be powered by an external DC source. The 500UDR has 63 user-selectable frequencies.
Wireless receivers are generally mounted near the back of a professional camcorder. They work in conjunction with wireless transmitters, most often from bodypacks. An effective range for the 500UDR is 200 to 300 feet. The 500UDR is currently shipping and has a suggested price of $580.

If you already have expensive wired microphones, you can transform them into wireless units with the 51XT converter. Simply plug this into the end of your microphone and it will magically become wireless, with more than 63 available frequencies. The unit is powered by a nine-volt battery.

Azden's top-of-the line bodypack microphone system is the 1000BT, which offers 121 frequencies. For $370, you only get the transmitter.
