In the second quarter of 2006, global digital TV shipments rose 22% on quarter to 15.5 million units, accounting for 37% of TV units and 80% of TV revenues, up from 29% of units and 74% of revenues in the first quarter of 2006, according to DisplaySearch. North America and Europe each accounted for slightly over 5 million or 34% of all digital TVs shipped.
