DSL chipset to double coverage
Excess Bandwidth Corp. has announced a two-chip symmetric Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) processor that, reportedly, increases effective coverage by over 90% in systems designed for advanced DSL. The chipset was designed for use in both central office DSL access multiplexer (DSLAM) equipment and customer premise devices. Its improvements are based on breakthrough signal processing algorithms and a network processor-based silicon architecture.
