DRAMeXchange: Price rise should slow
DRAM chip prices have spurted since mid-May and have overshot market expectations. However, the price rise will be mitigated by several factors. First, module prices have not fully caught up with the rapidly soaring chip prices. Second, buyers will shy away from carrying large inventories on their mid-year financial reports. Third, traders have started to release inventories to take profits.
