DRAM contract prices set to rise in H2 October
Following a 2-4.5% sequential price up for DRAM contract prices in the first half of October, DRAMeXchange believes that price growth should weaken in the second half of this month, despite projections from some PC OEMs that prices will rise 5% sequentially. In the first half of October, prices of 512 MB DDR2-533 settled at $46-48.50, thanks to some PC OEMs’ success to extend their negotiation period to once a month from the usual twice a month.
