DRAM price fluctuations leave buyers hesitant
On May 22, 128Mbit SDRAM spot prices once again collapsed below US$2 after having finally made it back up to the US$3 marker. Since March 10 when 128Mbit SDRAM spot prices approached US$4.50, prices have been slashed mercilessly until hitting rock bottom at under US$2 on May 10. Perhaps thinking that prices had finally reached the lowest point, buyers entered the market for a spell, bringing global DRAM prices back up to US$3 before they plunged back down below US$2 yesterday.
