DOJ urges no appeal for MS
Apparently disagreeing with the attendees at LinuxWorld who have declared victory over Microsoft, the U.S. Justice Department has filed its 30 page request explaining why the Supreme Court should deny the software company access to the appeals court. That court has, in fact, stated its willingness to hear the case with a full bench rather than the cursory three-judge panel. According to DOJ lawyers, the U.S. cannot afford to wait an extra year for the appeals process to play out.
