This cleverly-named pad really is great. Coated with three layers of Teflon, the Ulti-mat didn't need the included tape for performance, but using it did cut down on motion noise. The Ulti-mat has no problem staying in place during even the most intense gaming, due to the very thin foam pad permanently attached to the bottom.

While not as flashy as the other pads, the Ulti-mat comes in a number of subtle and classy colors. Definitely a mousepad with style - not love nest style, but swanky New York interior designer style.

The Ulti-mat features a foam pad that ensures it will not move during play.

The unit looked great and performed well with every mouse I threw at it. The only drawback of this pad was its temperature - a little cold. Though a few of the other pads were aluminum as well, this one felt consistently a few degrees colder. Not that you will need a heating pad to use it, but you will notice the chill at first.

It should be noted that very soon the Ulti-mat will be switching from a .08 aluminum plate to a .05 steel plate, but I don't know how that will affect size or temperature. I assume it will only improve it.

The Ulti-mat plays great and is very stylish.
