DivX Pro available for free
San Diego (CA) - In an unexpected promotion, DivX today is offering free downloads and serial keys to customers who want DivX Pro, a video codec that normally costs around $20.
By downloading DivX Pro from the maker’s official website, users will receive a serial key via e-mail at no charge. DivX Pro contains DivX converter, the DivX Pro Codec, and the DivX Player.
The free offer is available for both Windows and Mac users, however it is not yet configured to run on Windows Vista. The promotion labeled as "limited time only".
DivX stock hit an all-time low a couple weeks ago, at $13.95 per share on May 25. It closed yesterday at $15.52.
