DirectTV to test VoIP offerings
DirectTV, a television satellite company, will start testing VoIP. The company is partnering up with Vistula Communications Services in a six month trial. The VoIP service is being offered as a bundle with satellite service, but DirectTV officials told News.com that they don’t plan on concentrating on more VoIP offerings.
Satellite, cable and other Internet companies are increasingly offering so called triple-play services which combine Internet, voice and television service under one bill.
