Hynix: Registered DIMM and FB-DIMM price parity in 1Q 2007
Hynix Semiconductor, ranked by iSuppli as the number two DRAM supplier in the world in the second quarter of 2005, expects there will be no price gap between registered DIMMs and fully-buffered DIMMs starting from the first quarter of 2007, the company said at IDF Taiwan. According to Hynix, this will be a turning point for FB-DIMM technology and it will begin dominating over registered DIMMs in the market.
