The Future... Today, Continued

As for prints, automatic terminals are the fashion. From Kodak to Fuji and including Agfa and Kis, all manufacturers are offering autonomous products with payment via card and recovery of your prints in 5 minutes.
Finally, we need to make a visit to the famous Leica stand. Long absent from the digital world, Leica has now joined a specific market battle: SLRs. But Leica has developed its product in a very unorthodox and immensely pleasing way: A digital back (the Digital-Modul-R) with 10 million pixels and a sensor a little smaller than 24x36 (with a conversion factor of 1.37), designed to fit the R8 and R9 film cameras. For the photographer, the operation is magical: In the blink of an eye, the classic camera body is transformed into a monster digital, without compromise, without headaches, and with the legendary quality of the Leitz optics. A real joy, available sometime in December.

After this first look we will publish a complete report after the show. Stay tuned...
