Digital Global Network's Tiny MP3 Player

Smaller gadgets can certainly lighten your load and, with the microscopic little MP3 players and cameras we're seeing now, it's hard to believe that they're now about the size of the batteries used to power our toys a few short years ago. Digital Global Network's new MPIO-DMK holds up to 128MB of internal memory, weighs only 29 grams and includes USB support for a download speed of 5.5 Mbps. Its backlit LCD displays track information in several languages, including English, Spanish, German, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and French. The MPIO-DMK is available now at $179 for the 64MB version and $209 for the 128 MB Version. In addition to MPIO-DMK, DGN also recently introduced their MPIO-DMG Player, a portable MP3 player, voice recorder, and digital camera device. The MPIO-DMG was introduced to the Asian market in April 2001. The MPIO-DMG measures 2x2 inches but is said to provide as much as 20 hours of playtime with a single AA battery, over 17 hours of voice recording (4min./1MB), and up to 256MB of internal and external memory capacity. The MPIO-DMG supports MP3, as well as Microsoft's WMA audio format. The digital camera add-on, which will be available in early 2002, can be used as a digital still camera or web camera.
