DigiScents shuts down
A Reuters story reports that financial backers of DigiScents, the company dedicated to developing a computer peripheral that would generate a wide range of odors on digital command, tired of the smell of burning cash. The firm has closed its doors but the company executives are already talking about relaunching and licensing their technology. DigiScents had signed deals with thousands of developers and the technology was, according to executives, near to the manufacturing stage when funding was cut.
