Diamond ships USB-based home network

Diamond Multimedia Systems claims its HomeFree Phoneline USB, now shipping, is the PC industry's first USB home networking product with cross-platform support.

The product allows consumers to quickly install home networking hardware to share Internet access, peripherals and multi-player games between PC and Macintosh computers - all without opening their computer cases.

The user simply plugs in the USB pin connector and phone cords, then installs the CD software.
