Diablo II heroes assassinated
Hackers exploited a vulnerability in Blizzard Entertainment's sign-on system to take over many of the top virtual characters in the online Diablo II game. Users were frustrated to find that characters that had taken hundreds of hours to complete had been "assassinated" or at least weakened. The company intends to heal or resurrect effected players.
