Robertson joked around by saying, "We even gave you Solitaire!"

One problem with Linux is the difficulty in installing software. Various packaging schemes, such as Red Hat RPM, have been devised, without much success. Failed dependencies and differences in distributions cause headaches for even the simplest installation. Linspire's CNR (Click N Run) technology seems to solve the problem.

CNR makes installation easy

CNR gives users an easy, one-click interface for installing many popular open source programs. Currently there are about 1,900 programs in the CNR library. After the program is installed, CNR can automatically update the software to the latest versions. As you can guess, a fair amount of Linspire specific programming is in place to get CNR to work smoothly, so CNR is only available on Linspire.

CNR $49.95 after the 15 day free trial

Linspire can be bought in retail stores, or you can purchase a digital download direct from Linspire. CNR is available for a free 15 day trial, and is $49.95 a year thereafter.
