Alienware wants to stuff two gaming beasts under your tree this holiday season : the Area-51 m15x and Area-51 desktops.

Yesterday Alienware sent out a press release showcasing its two popular gaming rigs, deeming them as the "Christmas present big enough to satisfy the most demanding of Christmas appetites." The Area-51 m15x notebook, a sleek machine packed with a Blu-ray reader and 1200p HDTV support, starts around $1,499. The company’s Area-51 desktop line also offers value and performance for tight budgets as well as monster gaming rigs for the consumer growing money trees in the back yard.

For gaming on the go, the Area-51 m15x features the Intel Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme processors. Also packed under the hood is the world’s fastest mobile GPU : the 512MB Nvidia Geforce 8800M series (GT or GTX) with full DirectX 10 support ; the Nvidia Quadro FX series is also available for the advanced 3D creative professional.
