Demand for LCDs may outgrow supply in 2004
With PC-driven demand for flat-panel displays expected to grow rapidly this year, will there be sufficient large-size TFT LCD manufacturing capacity to meet the market’s needs in 2004 ? Shipments of LCD panels for use in both desktop PC monitors and in notebook displays will amount to 115 million units in 2004, iSuppli/Stanford Resources predicts.
