Dell to top Compaq as #1 PC seller
A study by Morgan Stanley Dean Witter predicts that Dell Computer will take Compaq Computer's title as the world's top selling computer company this quarter. Sales for the Texas-based Dell are projected at approximately 3.9 million desktops and laptops this quarter while Compaq is expected to ship around 3.4 million.
