Dell profit surges, sees record 3Q sales
Fueled by double digit growth in the corporate and government sectors both domestically and abroad, personal computer giant Dell posted record third quarter sales and saw profits surge 25 percent. Shares of Dell gained 5 percent.
The company said late Thursday that it earned $846 million, or 33 cents a share, compared with $677 million, or 26 cents a share, a year earlier.
