Dell preparing to attack broader new markets
Having rocketed to become the No. 1 computer maker in the U.S. from a standing start in 1985, Dell is now transforming from a computer vendor to a diversified IT vendor. In particular, brief mention was made on the conference call of Dell’s foray into manufacturing televisions ; I understand the company has plans to expand into other digital home consumer electronics, although few specifics have been provided.
