Dell picks Intense3D for workstations
Dell Computer Corp. has selected Intergraph's Intense3D Wildcat 3D graphics technology as a graphics accelerator option for its Dell Precision workstations.
Pricing and availability for the Intense3D-equipped machines will be announced later this month.
Dell also expanded the storage options for its Inspiron notebook PCs, offering 10GB and 14GB hard drives and a 4X DVD-ROM drive. The Inspiron 7000 notebook PC with a 14 GB hard drive starts at $2,949. The Inspiron 3500 with a 10GB hard drive starts at $2,249. The 4X DVD-ROM drive is available as a $249 optional upgrade.
