Dell Goes Green(er) with New Recycling Program
Dell Computer Corporation has announced a new computer recycling program that is both convenient to use and affordable. For $15 US, Dell will arrange for discarded desktop and notebook computers and monitors to be picked up and delivered by Airborne Freight. The $15 fee covers Airborne shipping for recycling weighing up to 50 pounds. Customers can donate the discarded equipment to other users or can designate that it be recycled. The program will begin on March 25th. Since Dell's corporate customer recycling program inception in 1991, Dell claims that it has collected two million computers for recycling.
