Dell begins taking dual-core Xeon orders
Dell on Monday will begin taking orders for servers and workstations armed with dual-core Xeon processors from Intel.
The announcement comes about a month before the giant chip maker is expected to unveil its new dual-core processors. Dell’s systems sporting the new chips will start shipping within the month, around the same time Intel announces the processors, said Neil Hand, vice president, worldwide enterprise marketing for Dell Product Group.
